Mental Health training for community pharmacists
Including support to complete MURs and NMS for mental health patients
This highly informative training will be run by a specialist mental health pharmacist and will provide invaluable support for community pharmacists supporting the mental health patients they see in the community setting.
The training will cover:
A clinical session on commonly prescribed mental health medicines, side effects and common management strategies.
Specialist combinations of mental health medicines and off-label uses
Practical advice and support to assist community pharmacists to undertake MURs and NMSs with mental health patients.
The training will conclude with a discussion about the best ways we can engage our patients with NMS and MUR on discharge from psychiatric inpatient care and what barriers we face.
