‘People who care: relationships at the end of life’
Marie Curie jointly hosts an annual research conference with the Palliative Care Section of the Royal Society of Medicine. The event is open to healthcare professionals, academics, Marie Curie staff and anyone with an interest in palliative care research.
We are interested in learning more about the people who support those at the end of life and their families, carers and communities. This includes research on interventions and models such as public health approaches (e.g. compassionate communities) and volunteer-led initiatives. It also includes support for informal carers as well as professionals who support people at the end of life across settings.
Call for abstracts: We are inviting abstracts for short presentations and/or posters on research in palliative and end of life care. Whilst abstracts relevant to the theme are more likely to be chosen for oral presentation, we welcome submissions on any subject in palliative and end of life care.
Abstracts should be no more than 250 words (excluding title) and in the following format: Introduction, Aim(s) and Method(s), Results, Conclusion(s).
The deadline to submit your abstracts is midnight on Thursday 15th June.
Submit your abstract to the Royal Society of Medicine here.
