The English Pharmacy Board of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) wishes to maintain an effective understanding of evolving NHS structures, functions and responsibilities, in the primary care sector in England, and how these changes are continuing to affect colleagues both delivering prescribing advice and medicines optimisation services or colleagues delivering community health, prescribing advice and medicines optimisation services.
Primary care pharmacy is an essential part of the profession and your responses to this fourth survey (the first, second and third were carried out in Oct 2011, Oct 2012 and May 2013 respectively) will enable the RPS to continue to refine and extend the targeted support it provides you.
After the survey results are analysed, the RPS will also be holding a targeted focus group (on 11 June 2014) to gain additional, more detailed and qualitative information on the current developments. If you would like to be part of this focus group then please email Heidi Wright on [email protected]. Both surveys will be open until close of play Thursday 29 May
This survey is aimed at those more senior pharmacists working in primary care and delivering prescribing advice and medicines optimisation (PA / MO) services for commissioning organisations, namely Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), Commissioning Support Units (CSUs) or NHS England at national, regional and area levels, including in specialised commissioning teams.
If you are currently involved in delivering any primary case-based PA / MO services, please help the RPS to support you and your colleagues more effectively by completing this survey. If you think you are not the most suitable individual in your team to respond, please pass this survey on to the appropriate person.
The survey can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/VL3FS82
This survey is aimed those pharmacists who PROVIDE community health and medicines-related support services to primary care. For example, the delivery of community services (from dedicated provider trusts, acute mental health trusts etc.), or provision of GP practice-based services (whether directly employed by GP Practices, or within a CCG, Trust or other organisation).
If you are currently involved in providing any primary care-based, community health or medicines-related support services, please help the RPS to support you and your colleagues more effectively by completing this survey. If you think you are not the most suitable individual in your team to respond, please pass this survey on to the appropriate person.
