The Daffodil Standards

"Adopting the Standards has transformed our surgery"
- Dr Elizabeth Phillips, Yardley Wood Health Centre

Welcome to the Daffodil Quality Improvement Standards for Community Pharmacy - part of the RPS and Marie Curie UK Community Pharmacy Standards for Palliative and End of Life Care.

Sign up for our Daffodil Standards and help your whole pharmacy team to self-assess and consistently offer the best end of life and bereavement care for patients.

The standards provide a free, evidence-based framework with continuous learning and simple quality improvement steps. They will help your pharmacy team to gradually build on their existing palliative care provision.

Locum pharmacists welcome, too!

If you're a locum community pharmacist not attached to one pharmacy, you can still sign up and make the most of our Daffodil Standards.

Who created the Daffodil Standards?

RPS has written these Standards in partnership with Marie Curie, led by Lead Author and Project Manager, Darrell Baker, with help from an Expert Steering Group and the RPS Community Pharmacy Expert Advisory Group.

The Standards are informed by the views, experiences and expertise of community pharmacists and specialist palliative and end of life health care professionals from across the profession.
