Independent prescriber guide

Aspiring pharmacist prescribers, prescribing trainees, newly practicing and experienced prescribing practitioners can find out more about prescribing with this guide.

You’ll find practical guidance and support on the prescriber role, how to become an independent prescriber (IP), applying for an IP course, training, deciding or expanding your scope of practice and how to demonstrate and maintain your prescribing competency. There's also support with networking, mentoring and signposting to clinical and medicines optimisation resources
