2011 was the 25th Anniversary year of the first publication of the Handbook of Pharmaceutical Excipients published jointly by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) and the American Pharmacists Association (APhA). Since the first edition in 1986, the handbook has made an important contribution to the development of pharmaceutical dosage forms.
