Hi, I'm Hayley and I'm the lead for RPS in Greater Manchester
RPS in Greater Manchester gives you the chance to develop and support fellow pharmacists who live and work nearby, as well as an opportunity to build a professional network.
We provide a chance for face-to-face meetings outside of a work environment, raising the profile of pharmacy with a variety of groups, organisations and individuals.
What we do
We aim to deliver events and support opportunities that meet the needs of all our members, from all professional backgrounds.
We usually hold our events on the University campus or in a city central location, but often move to other venues to allow members from all areas of Manchester to get involved.
Over the past 12 months, our events have covered topics including:
- Mental Health
- Pride in Practice - supporting members of the LGBT community with their healthcare
- Patient Safety.
We love working with other pharmacy organisations and hold regular collaborative events with the Centre for Postgraduate Pharmacy Education (CPPE).
Who we are
RPS in Manchester is supported by a dedicated group of volunteers and all have one thing in common; they all want to put pharmacy on the forefront of healthcare.
Members of our group are:
- Dr Hayley Gorton - Academic Pharmacist / Community Pharmacist
- Dipesh Raghwani - Community Pharmacist
- Nahim Khan - GP Practice Pharmacist / Community Pharmacist
- Deborah Howard - CPPE representative
