Hi, we're Liz and Claire and we're the leads of RPS in Sussex.
RPS in Sussex gives you the chance to develop and support fellow pharmacists who live and work nearby, as well as an opportunity to build a professional network.
We provide a chance for face-to-face meetings outside of a work environment, raising the profile of pharmacy with a variety of groups, organisations and individuals.
What we do
We aim to deliver events and support opportunities that meet the needs of all our members, from all professional backgrounds.
We usually hold our events on the University campus or in a city central location, but often move to other venues to allow members from all areas of Sussex to get involved.
Over the past 12 months, our events have covered topics including:
- Mental Health, including a full one day conference attended by around 70 people!
- Digital Health
We love working with other pharmacy organisations and hold regular collaborative events with the Centre for Postgraduate Pharmacy Education (CPPE) and our LPC and network of other healthcare professionals.
Who we are
RPS in Sussex is supported by a dedicated group of volunteers and all have one thing in common; they all want to put pharmacy on the forefront of healthcare.
Some of the members of our group are:
- Claire May - Academic Pharmacist
- Liz Butterfield - Primary Care Pharmacist
- Sue Kilby - Industrial Pharmacist
- Mike Beaman - Retired Pharmacist
- Isaac Gidudu - Student / Pre-reg representative
- Alice Conway - Hospital Pharmacist
