Hi, I'm Dave Edwards, the RPS Local Co-ordinator for Hywel Dda.
I have been a pharmacist for over thirty years and have worked across many sectors. At present I have a portfolio of roles and am training to be a Non-Medical Prescriber. I am a very enthusiastic, although not especially skillful, sportsman. I'm marginally better at coaching than playing and have coached individuals and teams in cricket, squash, football and lacrosse.
What we do
RPS In Hywel Dda gives you the chance to develop and support fellow pharmacists who live and work nearby, as well as an opportunity to build a professional network.
We provide a chance for face-to-face meetings outside of a work environment, raising the profile of pharmacy with a variety of groups, organisations and individuals.
We aim to deliver events and support opportunities that meet the needs of all our members, from all professional backgrounds.
We try and hold our events in venues all over the Hywel Dda Health Board area, to allow members from all parts of west and southwest Wales to get involved.
Over the past 12 months, our events have covered topics including:
- Mental Health
- Palliative and End of Life Care.
How can I hear more from my local group?
It's easy - to make sure you're hearing about our local events, make sure you're signed up for to the events newsletter in your My RPS Communications Preferences.
If you're on facebook, you can join our RPS Hywel Dda Group - make sure to say hi!
