What is Industrial Pharmacy?
Would you like to be part of a team responsible for creating and marketing medicines to help millions of people all over the world?
Industrial Pharmacists research, design, develop and test new medicines and treatments, ensuring their safety and quality.
As an Industrial Pharmacist you'll work in companies that manufacture medicines, however, they'll also be involved in different stages of this process, from initial design to public launch and sales. You'll use the latest technologies, processes and methods to develop new medicines for patients.
Industrial pharmacy can be an extremely rewarding career path, often leading to managerial positions or other positions within the company not traditionally associated with pharmacy.
You might also decide to become a Qualified Person. Qualified Persons (or QPs) are responsible for releasing products for supply to the market, confirming that these have been made and tested to the required quality standards in line with the registered methods and processes.
This can involve travel overseas to other company sites, or to the sites of suppliers.
