RPS English Board Chair addresses lateral flow shortage

Following a recent statement from RPS President Claire Anderson calling on the public to be patient in pharmacies which are running out of lateral flow test kits, RPS English Pharmacy Board Chair Thorrun Govind has fronted numerous media interviews supporting pharmacists and reassuring the public over the Christmas and New Year period.

Thorrun said it is ‘frustrating’ for pharmacy teams who are unable to access enough test kits to meet demand tests and highlighted the decision to place all supplies with a single distributor  as a key issue. 

Supply of lateral flow testing kits should improve soon and RPS calls on patience from the public during this period.
