RPS member appointed to BPC

RPS member James Rickard has been appointed as a member of the British Pharmacopoeia Commission (BPC).

Mr Rickard is the Chief Scientific Officer at Biotherapy Services Ltd, and says he is ‘humbled’ to have been appointed to the BPC.

Mr Rickard said: “I am humbled to be selected to join the BPC serving patients across the UK and to be considered competent and capable to help shape the future of medicine quality standards in the new and fast-moving era of precision medicines presents highly complex challenges to non-classical medicines to the MHRA.

“I look forward to giving the collective perspective of clinical facing, academic and industry experiences almost unique to our profession to benefit patients across the UK and rest of the world with the reach and esteem BPC has.”
