RPS President Claire Anderson visited Independent Prescribers in Wales on Friday, March 18.
Claire and the RPS Wales team visited Adrian Jankowski at his Community Pharmacy in Pontyates, which is providing prescribing services, as well as Glangwlii Hospital in Carmarthen.
Claire Anderson said: “It was fantastic to see the range of independent prescribing approaches at Adrian’s pharmacy, and to hear about the very real benefits multidisciplinary team working brings to patient care.
“It was also great to meet Hannah Wilton and the team at Glangwlii Hospital. They have an extremely positive approach to wellbeing, and the team is being empowered to achieve positive change for their workforce and patients.
“RPS wants to see greater use of pharmacist independent prescribers across Great Britain to increase patient access to care, improve capacity in the healthcare system and improve patient outcomes.”
