RPS pledges “Time to change”

RPS Chief Executive Paul Bennett has signed the Time to Change pledge, committing the organisation to reducing discrimination around mental health in the workplace and changing the way employers think and act on mental health.

We applied for and successfully received the pledge at the end of 2019, after recruiting and training a team of Mental Health First Aiders to support employees and champion wellness at RPS.

Mental health awareness training was also given to all managers. We already provide an employee assistance programme and occupational health referrals, as well as offering Pilates and mindfulness sessions.

The recent call for more volunteers brought a fantastic response and some people had to be turned away! The new group will be receiving their training soon, alongside the current volunteers who will be getting refresher training.
