We explain prescription charges to BBC's Inside Health

BBC Radio 4’s Inside Health programme has talked to RPS Director for England Ravi Sharma about why prescription charges still apply in England.

Presenter Dr Mark Porter quizzed Ravi about the reasons people still pay for prescription medicines which are free in the rest of the UK, and the problems this can cause some patients.

Ravi said: “We want all people on regular medicines to be exempt from charges. We don’t want there to be cost barrier to people getting their medicines.”
