RPS Scotland represented at International Festival of Science in Edinburgh

In April, RPS Scotland was represented at the thanksgiving service for the International Festival of Science in Edinburgh.

The Edinburgh Science Festival is an annual event, and the largest Science Festival in the UK.   For two weeks, the programme delivers a series of stimulating and engaging events throughout Scotland’s capital to both inform and entertain the public.

On 16 April, a large procession was held from The City Chambers to St Giles Cathedral, in Edinburgh’s Old Town, leading to a thanksgiving service in the Cathedral.  RPS Scotland was represented by Scottish Pharmacy Board Member, Lola Dabiri MRPharmS.

Speaking after the thanksgiving service, Lola Dabiri said:

“I was proud to represent RPS Scotland at this prestigious and internationally significant event in Edinburgh.

The thanksgiving service itself was fantastic, with beautiful songs and a special ambiance.

“The festival plays a hugely supportive role in promoting science to the public, and it was great to be there to represent pharmacists, who do so much to improve people’s lives and improve health outcomes using their scientific knowledge and medicines expertise.”
