Jodie has been a medicines' management pharmacy technician since 2000. During this time, she has gained extensive experience in medicines optimisation (MO) across the whole health economy, having worked in the primary and acute care settings. 

In 2016, she joined the MO team at East and North Hertfordshire CCG where she supported the implementation of the enhanced local health in care homes vanguard. As the lead pharmacy technician, she is now responsible for managing and developing medicines' optimisation in care homes across the ICS.

She is also part of the multidisciplinary team responsible for identifying potential safeguarding issues, as well as their underlying causes and methods of prevention. Jodie recently worked on the National Patient Safety workstream - Improving safety in care homes for the Academic Health Science Network (EAHSN).
