RPS Museum releases new Covid-19 oral history clips

Tim, Ghada and Jat

The RPS museum, in collaboration with the RPS Retired Pharmacist Group, has released four new clips of oral history interviews documenting the profound impact of COVID-19 on the pharmacy profession.

Under the Covid-19 Experiences section of the museum's Oral Histories webpage, viewers can now access recordings featuring firsthand accounts from Tim Root on supply chain issues, Ghada Alsaleh on Covid-19 vaccine research, and Jat Harchowal sharing his experiences at the Nightingale Hospital.

The Covid-19 Oral History Project aims to collect around 30 interviews, spanning different experiences within pharmacy. These include reflections from the workforce, those in education and the retired, as well as perspectives from patients and individuals.

The RPS museum will add more clips to the collection throughout the year as part of the ongoing project. The full recordings will be preserved in the museum archive and made available for research purposes by appointment.

Listen to the new oral history clips and explore the museum's collection.
