I wonder if others can give me their thoughts on a recent question I've been asked: If a medicine is mixed with a small quantity of food, for covert admin (assumed all the necessary documentation is in place) and the food is then not consumed or not fully consumed, can the remainder be disposed of as food waste, or should the tablespoon of yoghurt, porridge or whatever be considered medicines waste and disposed of with other medication waste. I was inclined to advise the latter, but am interested in the views and experience of others.
