Digital Pharmacy Expert Advisory Group (DPEAG)

Euan is the Lead Pharmacist for Medicines Management in NHS Fife. His role includes ensuring the utilisation of prescribing data has a positive impact on patient care and the effective use of resources.

In 2020, he set-up a joint Digital and Information (eHealth) and Pharmacy forum. The group improves collaboration on prescribing data and information governance within NHS Fife. Euan’s team also manages electronic systems that support its local formulary and safe prescribing.

Euan is co-lead for NHS Fife’s Pharmacy Digital and Technology Innovation workstream. This appointment was in recognition of his skills and desire to improve the digital capabilities across all sectors of pharmacy. The workstream ensures that the use of technology is maximised to enhance patient care and promote efficient service delivery throughout NHS Fife.

His experience includes hospital pharmacy, general practice pharmacy and pharmacist education and training.

Euan is a member of the Faculty of Clinical Informatics. He is deputy chair of the Prescribing Quality Improvement group and a member of the Prescription Data, Information, Intelligence and Systems group (Scottish Pharmacy Practice and Prescribing Advisers Association).
