Ceinwen is a highly experienced, innovative and transformational pharmacy leader with over 25 years’ experience in community pharmacy, academia, NHS workforce, education and clinical pharmacy. She specialises in workforce transformation, and pharmacy education. 

Ceinwen is energetic, personable, brave, highly motivated, and enjoys leading innovative programmes that make a difference to people working in health and care. She has a successful track record as a strategic thinker and visionary leader, successfully motivating and developing teams.

Passionate about equity, Ceinwen offers mentoring support, with a special interest in supporting women and people with disabilities. Her current study will develop coaching skills to further enhance team support and leadership capability.

Ceinwen currently works in NHS workforce transformation in Norfolk & Waveney ICS, leading mental health and pharmacy workforce transformation projects. She is also seconded to Health Education England, providing professional leadership for the pharmacy education team in the east of England.

Ceinwen began her career in community pharmacy and PCT medicines management. As an early adopter of the new supplementary and then independent prescribing qualification, she worked in general practice as a pharmacist prescriber utilising practice based commissioning funding. Alongside clinical practice, Ceinwen developed an academic career teaching multidisciplinary independent prescribing and pharmacy post graduate education, specialising in Quality Improvement. 

She spent ten years working for Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE), University of Manchester delivering education for the pharmacy workforce.

Recent achievements include:

  • Driving the delivery of the Clinical Associate in Psychology (CAP) apprenticeship programme, recognised as a regional trailblazer
  • Shaping the concept of a Quality Management Approach (QMA) model across an Integrated Care System (ICS), securing national trailblazer recognition
  • Leading the creation of a pioneering education programme enabling pharmacy roles in general practice for NHS England, motivating the national team with visionary leadership
  • Expanding Pharmacist Foundation & Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship training in an ICS.
  • Evaluating pharmacy digital and workforce innovation and securing business case approval.
