1. Changes To MEP

This section provides information on what a clinical audit is and why it is important. Also included is signposting to how to conduct a clinical audit and examples of audits templates.

Includes information on what self-checking is and an outline of points to consider before self-checking to limit errors occurring, if the pharmacists think it is deemed necessary to conduct self-checking.

Updated section 3.3.8 Administration to include details of the new information detailed in section 3.3.16 Prescribing and dispensing/supply/administration by the same person.

Updated the section title to ‘Prescribing and dispensing/supply/administration by the same person’. Included new information from the joint position statement by RPS and RCN and signposted to new guidance on safely conducting prescribing and dispensing/supply/administration by the same person.
